THE DIGS
2 covered digs are accessible at the end of the visit. Fitted up with a shovel and a brush, children will do numerous discoveries with the help of a dig map.
In the first dig, children will find pelvis bones, ribs, jaws, vertebras, claws, from different animals. They will be enable to observe the bones sizes and understand better the dinosaurs’ size.
They will also discover an ammonite from a 140 million year old marine organism, era of dinosaurs ; Hadrosaure’s round eggs and Oviraptor’s oblongs eggs.
In the second dig, they will discover a complete Deinonychus skeleton, a Stegosaur skull, a turtle and a Diplodocus skull.
These educational digs have been realized with the Mas d’Azil potter’s help : Marie Desbrosses and Barbara Llebot ; The sculptures have been made by Laetitia Carasse, Claire Dieudonné and Gillosaurus ; texts and drawings by Aurélie Mir, Emmanuelle Denos, Delfine Eychenne, Marie Alves and Gillosaurus.
